We have collaborated with Susie on many products over the last 5+ years. From physical print products to branding and web design. No matter what the request is, we can always expect that she will come to us with a fresh idea and is always open to creating new, beautiful, and inspiring products.

Creating the Feel the Love Card Deck

For the very first project, Susie came to Weller Smith Design looking for someone to help her bring a product to life that she had been envisioning for years. She knew she wanted to create an inspirational deck of cards to share her story as well as spread positive nuggets of love to people across the globe.

LeAnna’s love for print and product development coupled with Susie’s desire to produce something that would reach the masses was the perfect combination to bring this amazing product to the world.

The first print run had some “love baked in” with a portion of the proceeds going to the MS Foundation. LeAnna was diagnosed with MS in 2013, so this was a great way for her to also support this cause in a meaningful way.

The Deck Requirements

  • Full branding and product development
  • Required high-quality production on the final product
  • Custom packaging solution to differentiate from other inspirational decks
  • Second color way once initial product was ready for a 2nd run

LeAnna is super talented. Plain and simple. One of her superpowers is the ability to distill your thoughts, translate your ideas and then create well-designed deliverables that are filled with personality and spirit.

LeAnna’s excitement and encouragement in helping me to create my passion project was awesome. She listened to what I wanted to accomplish and then designed the beautifully packaged set of ‘Feel The Love Transformation Cards’. These decks have helped thousands of people to develop a more positive mindset.

Building out the Brand

Next, we worked together on building out the brand. What is the Feel the Love Brand? What is the mission of the Feel the Love Brand? What type of products are included with the Feel the Love Brand, and what does the overall Brand look like?

Brand Guidelines

The Feel the Love Brand was started with the initial Feel the Love Deck in blue and orange. With the popularity and success of the original deck, many started to ask for an additional colorway, pink. Susie created that version and it gave the deck even more meaning, as it became a great gift for mothers, women, breast cancer patients, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and more. Susie started to envision and create other off-shoot products and then decided it was time to create a more formal brand guide to provide structure as the brand grows.

While working on the Brand Guidelines, we created a space for the Feel the Love Brand to grow, calling it the Feel the Love Collection. This is where Susie can offer different products ranging from clothing to accessories, and custom products.

What we love about working with Susie

Working with Susie is always the perfect mix of friendship and fun! Collaborating with other creative friends is always a blast and Susie always remains open to all of the ideas that we present, no matter the project. Everything always flows perfectly…and when that happens…you know it was something that was meant to be!

The Personal Brand and Website

Next, Susie wanted to find a way to combine her personal brand, Susie Mordoh, and her Feel the Love Brand. We worked closely with Susie to uplevel her personal brand with a clean, yet approachable aesthetic. In Susie’s words, hippie-chic. We pulled in neutral tones, so her images could pop, and used classic typography with hints of personality. We also created the Feel the Love Shop where Susie can sell her courses, groups, products, and more.

The Requirements

  • Uplevel the overall brand to better fit Susie and her personal aesthetic
  • Create a mobile-responsive website that is easy to maintain and can also include her shop
  • Troubleshoot issues that came with the domain due to prior site issues

  • Create a cohesive brand identity for the Collection, Shop, and Products
  • Determine guidelines for color palette, logos, and usage
