“I Can’t Believe I Waited This Long To Publish My Cookbook!”

(Said 9 out of 10 of our clients.)

We know creating a custom cookbook can feel like a daunting task.

That’s why we make it easy (and FUN)!

Not Sure About Self-Publishing?

Let’s Discuss…

We were debating whether to work with a traditional publishing house and agent or to self-publish. Weller Smith Design gave us the confidence that they could help us design and self-publish a beautiful book that we had control over the content.
—Lauren Allen, author of Tastes Better from Scratch Cookbook

Traditional Publishing:

  • It can be 2+ years for the book to get to market
  • 80-90% NEW content is usually required
  • Author advances may not cover the expenses needed to produce the quality work you envision
  • Your feedback may (or may not) be taken into consideration
  • Everyone gets a piece of the pie (Agent, Publisher, Distributor) and your piece may be the smallest 🙁

“Working with LeAnna and the WSD team was absolutely wonderful and I can’t recommend them enough! Their designs are beautiful, their editing is excellent, their organization is outstanding, their communication is prompt and professional, and I always felt like they are on top of everything. If I self-publish more books, I will absolutely use them again.”
—Maya Krampf, author of Easy Keto Carboholic’s Cookbook

Let’s Turn Your IP into Your Legacy…

My favorite part was the bi-weekly calls I had with LeAnna and Erin. Not only were they fun, but they were also extremely helpful, and were a huge part of keeping me on track and helping my stressed-out brain stay somewhat calm. These calls were also where I was able to see the creative process unfold, and I loved seeing how this book came together and blossomed as the weeks went by.
—Melanie Gunnell, author of Mel’s Kitchen Cafe Cookbook
